Financial technologies are transforming the financial services landscape. This change is led by disruptive technologies such as mobility, IoT, blockchain, AI and robotics as well as business analytics made with big data. These disruptive innovations transform not only incumbent financial services institutions into “intrapraneurs” but also create new third-party providers of financial services such as tech giants, telecom companies, e-commerce companies and fintech startups.

Fintech course aims to give an understanding of how Fintech is reshaping the financial services ecosystem with an emphasis on regulation (GDPR, PSD2, KYC/AML etc.), competition and financing of innovation. This course will particularly elaborate on Payments, Deposits & Lending, Blockchain, Insurance (insurtech), Open Banking, Capital Raising, Wealth Management, and Market Provisioning domains.

The Course will be offered as of Spring 2019 academic term at the M.A. and BIS programs of Department of Management Information Systems. To register the BIS course please contact
